"Dear Tori,

I just wanted to say a big thank you for doing such a fantastic job at our wedding.

You played so beautifully and such a diverse repertoire of songs. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful your music was and how it created the perfect atmosphere.

You were also fantastic with our guests. When people approached you, you were warm and gracious with them and happy to chat even letting one of our flower girls pose for a picture playing your harp (it's a very cute picture). You were a big hit! Thank you.

And thanks again for being so easy to work with and making everything so stress free. We really did have the most spectacular day, it was so amazing, thank you for helping to make it so perfect.

Much Love,
Mr and Mrs Cannon! X (Joanne Frogatt)"

One day many years ago whilst busking with my pedal harp (hulk senior), within the roving hills of the Lake District, I was pounced upon by a lady who happened to be on her hen do, who informed me she had been looking for a harpist everywhere (and couldn't believe she'd stumbled upon me) and that it was fate and I had to play at her wedding! Fortunately I was available and after a fantastic afternoon playing for her and entertaining the guests, weddings have escalated to become a significant part of my diary, with now over 40 a year interspersing other musical projects.

I now take great pleasure in arranging and designing music for your day. I have a wide ranging repertoire, specifically chosen and arranged to suit the harp:

  • Classical - From the more well known, to the specialised: Clair De Lune, Handel's Harp Concerto, Pachabel's Canon, Pie Jesu, Ave Maria.

  • Popular Classics - Songs that as far as I can see will never die!: Fields of Gold, Imagine, What a Wonderful World

  • Jazz - One of my major love's in music: e.g Take Five, Lullaby in Birdland

  • Contemporary music - All arranged by myself for harp: Coldplay, Paul Weller

  • Latin - for something a bit different and to give a kick to your day! - Besame Mucho, Girl From Ipanema, Cuban Dance, and various Paraguan and other South American rhythmic concoctions for the harp.

Please contact me for further information on my current repertoire

I have been performing publicly since a young age, and take great pleasure in performing for ceremonies, be it church or civil. In addition to the obvious parts of the Ceremony, I also play before hand to welcome your guests, and bridegroom-  which from experience works well anticipating the arrival of the bride, especially if there may be a little additional wait! I love adding a live, personal element to the formal ceremony, and similarly entertaining and interacting with the wedding guests during the reception.

"In addition to providing music for the ceremony, reception and dinner, Tori also mingles with the guests to integrate with them during the course of the day, to find out what they are enjoying, and add to the entertainment. Tori mixes the traditional classics with more contemporary music which seems to meet with everyone's tastes.

Tori is definitely a welcome addition and enhances any event". - Caroline, The Great Barn - www.thegreatbarn.net & www.adayinthecountry.co.uk (NB - one of the venues I can highly recommend and am fortunate to play at regularly).

With a wide ranging repertoire and experience from different events, I will also judge and enhance the mood during the course of the day.

I am very happy to now be recommended by venues including:

  • Blenheim Palace
  • Eynsham Hall
  • The Bay Tree Hotel - Burford
  • Weston Manor, Waddesdon Manor
  • Phylis Court
  • The Great Barn - Aynho.

I am also open to personal requests, whatever the style, if there is a song you particularly love for the ceremony, which I will arrange specifically for the harp, providing its general suitability and adequate notice is given.

I am available to play for:

  • The ceremony: Church / Civil
  • Reception drinks & meal
  • Interlude between end of meal and start of evening Entertainment
  • Evening reception

N.B. People often make the mistake of thinking the harp is always quiet -people in fact usually comment on how surprisingly loud it is! I also have pick ups fitted and an amp for any larger / boisterous parties!

Please contact me for further information and details on what I can offer and to confirm my availability.
